UEFA has confirmed it received a substantial number of documents from Real Madrid relating to its ongoing investigation into FC Barcelona in the case involving Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira.
Negreira is the former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The matter is commonly known as the “Negreira case”.
“UEFA can confirm that it has received from Real Madrid CF a substantial number of documents related to the ongoing investigation into FC Barcelona in the matter involving Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira, former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (the so-called ‘Negreira case’),” UEFA said.
The organisation added that its Ethics and Disciplinary Inspectors had also received the latest material and would consider it as part of their continuing review.
“UEFA’s Ethics and Disciplinary Inspectors have also received these latest documents, which they will assess as part of their ongoing review of the case.”
