Trabzonspor climb 25 places in UEFA rankings after Conference League wins

Trabzonspor have risen 25 places in the European club rankings after consecutive victories in the UEFA Conference League.

According to the latest update published by UEFA, the Turkish side have moved from 166th at the start of the current season to 141st, increasing their points total to 12,500.

The rise follows victories over Finnish club KuPS and Scottish side Hearts. Trabzonspor’s progress was driven by the performances of their Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, according to Turkish website 61saat.

The two wins enabled Trabzonspor to make a significant move up the UEFA rankings, with the club climbing 25 positions in a single step.

Bayern Munich remain top of the overall European club rankings. Arsenal are second, followed by Real Madrid in third.

Paris Saint-Germain occupy fourth place, with Inter Milan fifth and Liverpool sixth. Manchester City are seventh, while Barcelona are eighth.

Among Turkish clubs, Fenerbahce are the highest-ranked team. Their total of 60,750 points places them 27th in Europe.

Galatasaray are 46th, although no points total was given in the ranking details. Istanbul Basaksehir sit 98th, while Besiktas are 119th.

Trabzonspor’s latest rise comes after their successive Conference League victories and represents one of the largest upward moves among the clubs listed in UEFA’s latest ranking update.
