Tottenham Chief Executive Officer Vinai Venkatesham says the club recognises supporters’ dissatisfaction after a poor start to the season.
Tottenham are bottom of the English league and have failed to win any of their opening five matches. The club spent more than £380m on new players during the summer, but those changes have yet to produce results on the pitch.
“The club understands the frustration of the fans,” said Venkatesham, who also expressed confidence in manager Roberto De Zerbi and Tottenham’s summer signings.
He said the club would need time for the changes made during the transfer window to take effect.
Tottenham have not recorded a profit since 2019, while their wage bill and spending on transfers have increased. The club is also understood to need to improve its player-sales operation in order to comply with the Premier League’s financial regulations.
