Steven Gerrard: Everyone associated with Manchester City should reflect on financial rules case

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard says everyone connected with Manchester City should be considering the club’s financial rules case, with the Premier League side facing the possibility of punishment for numerous alleged breaches.

“Everyone who is associated with Manchester City should think about it,” Gerrard said.

Manchester City have appealed against the case. Reports have previously suggested the club could face expulsion from the Premier League.

Gerrard also said he does not expect to receive a Premier League winners’ medal for the 2013/2014 season, when Liverpool finished second behind Manchester City.
