Stefano Pioli backs Goncalo Ramos and highlights his tactical value to AC Milan

Former AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli has defended Goncalo Ramos after the Portuguese forward came under criticism for what some regard as passive displays.

Pioli disagrees with those assessments and believes Ramos remains important because of the tactical role he performs on the pitch. His comments focus on the wider contribution made by the striker rather than solely on his visible involvement in attacking moves.

Ramos previously played for French club Paris Saint-Germain. Pioli left AC Milan in 2024.
