Nigeria-Benin left-back Seun Ogunribide has joined Mogadishu City on a free transfer from Kwara United. The 22-year-old completes a permanent move to the Somali side after leaving the Nigeria Premier Football League club.
Ogunribide, who is comfortable operating on the left side of defence, moves outside West Africa as he continues his senior career. His transfer was finalised on 24 July 2026, with Mogadishu City adding a player whose last recorded market valuation stood at €25,000.
The defender departs Kwara United after a spell in the NPFL, where he developed his reputation in Nigeria’s top flight. His time with the Ilorin-based club provided him with regular exposure to domestic top-tier football before opting for a new challenge in East Africa.
Mogadishu City’s move for the Nigeria-Benin dual national underlines the club’s intent to bring in players with experience from established leagues in the region. Ogunribide’s arrival bolsters their options at left-back, giving the coaching staff an additional specialist in a key defensive position.
The transfer is a straightforward free move, with Ogunribide now registered as a Mogadishu City player following his departure from Kwara United.
