Scott McTominay nearing Napoli return after benign arrhythmia diagnosis

Scott McTominay is close to returning to the Napoli squad after being out for more than a month with a mild case of benign arrhythmia.

The Scotland midfielder has not played in an official match since the end of August. He was diagnosed with the condition shortly afterwards and has consequently been unavailable to Massimiliano Allegri’s side.

McTominay has missed Napoli’s matches over the past month, as well as Scotland’s fixtures in the Nations League. His absence meant he was unable to help his national team during the international break.

Napoli have now received encouraging news, with the midfielder reportedly ready to rejoin Allegri’s squad after just over a month on the sidelines.
