Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay could leave the club next summer if he cannot agree a new contract, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The 30-year-old Scotland international is currently under contract until 2028. However, Napoli could decide to sell him if negotiations over an extension fail, while he could also be given the opportunity to depart as a free agent.
McTominay is understood to be seeking an annual salary of about 8m euros. That figure is above the level Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is prepared to offer, making a contract renewal unlikely.
Napoli value the midfielder at between 25m and 30m euros. Manchester United and Aston Villa were interested in signing him last summer.
McTominay is currently recovering from a minor heart operation and is gradually returning to training.
