Moroccan defender Saad Farid has joined UAE Pro League side Hatta Club on a free transfer from RCA Reserve. The 21-year-old left-back moves to the United Arab Emirates after progressing through the ranks at Raja Casablanca’s youth system.
Farid, who was born in Casablanca and stands at 1.80m, specialises as a left-back and is left-footed, offering Hatta Club natural width and defensive cover on that side of the pitch. The move marks his first step into senior football outside Morocco.
The defender arrives after featuring primarily in domestic cup action for RCA Reserve last season. He made nine appearances in the Excellence Cup, registering one assist and accumulating just over 600 minutes on the pitch, and also appeared in the Botola Pro Inwi, Morocco’s top flight. Those outings represented his first exposure to senior-level competition following his progression from Raja Casablanca’s youth and U19 sides.
Farid’s career to date has been spent entirely within the Raja Casablanca structure. He advanced from Raja Youth to the club’s U19s in 2022 before stepping up to RCA Reserve in 2023, where he remained until completing his move to Hatta Club on 23 July 2026.
Hatta Club have added Farid to their squad without announcing a contract end date, bringing the Moroccan full-back in on a free transfer ahead of the new UAE Pro League campaign.
