Roma have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign right-back Nahuel Molina in a deal worth a total of €18m, according to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer has been described by Romano as “Here we go!”, indicating that the move is now at an advanced stage and that the main terms have been settled between the two clubs.
Molina has also agreed personal terms with the Serie A club, removing another major step before the transfer can be completed. Roma have now concluded all the formalities required for the move, with the Argentina international set to sign a long-term contract in the Italian capital.
Atletico Madrid had been looking to offload the defender, and the agreement with Roma allows the Spanish club to complete that objective while giving the Italian side a new option at right-back.
