Italy-Morocco midfielder Rida Hannioui has joined Fujairah SC from fellow Emirati side Al-Hamra in a completed transfer. The 22-year-old moves within the United Arab Emirates after a season with Al-Hamra, strengthening Fujairah’s midfield options ahead of the new campaign.
Hannioui, who is listed primarily as a central midfielder, joins Fujairah having already gained experience in UAE competitions, including appearances in the UAE President’s Cup. He featured four times in that tournament, clocking up 283 minutes of action, offering a glimpse of his ability to operate consistently at senior level.
Before his switch to Fujairah SC, Hannioui had a nomadic spell in the Emirates, signing for Al-Hamra in 2025 after a year with Al-Arabi, which he had joined from Dibba Al-Hisn in 2024. That sequence of moves has kept him in the regional game and provided regular exposure to the domestic football landscape.
The midfielder began building his senior career outside the UAE, leaving PO Ormidias in 2022 for English side Sheffield Town. A move from Sheffield Town to Dibba Al-Hisn in 2023 then marked his first step into Gulf football, before his subsequent transfers between Emirati clubs.
Born on 22 September 2003, Hannioui is eligible to represent both Italy and Morocco, adding an international dimension to Fujairah SC’s squad profile. His transfer from Al-Hamra to Fujairah SC has been finalised ahead of the 2026-27 season, with the player now registered as part of the Fujairah midfield group.
