Richarlison asks Brazil’s Federal Police to investigate disputed property deal involving Bolsonaro’s son

Tottenham forward Richarlison has asked Brazil’s Federal Police to investigate a property dispute involving Flavio Bolsonaro, the senator and son of former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro.

Richarlison says he invested about 10 million reais in purchasing the property in the area of the island of Angra dos Reis, on the coast of Rio de Janeiro state. The amount is equivalent to approximately 1.6m-1.8m euros, according to derbyderbyderby.it.

The footballer later reported losing control of the island and sought clarification from the Federal Police. In doing so, he pointed to the alleged involvement of Flavio Bolsonaro and lawyer Willer Tomaz.

Flavio Bolsonaro has denied any direct involvement in the dispute.

According to Richarlison, the property’s ownership was transferred to a company linked to Tomaz after an offer to buy it had been rejected. The player describes Tomaz as a friend of Flavio Bolsonaro.

Richarlison believes the transfer was unlawful and has asked the relevant authorities to examine carefully the circumstances in which the change of ownership took place.
