Bromley have signed Anglo-Nigerian defender Richard Taylor on loan from Bolton. The 25-year-old centre-back links up with the League One side from the Championship club in a deal completed on 25 July 2026.
Taylor, who is eligible to represent both England and Nigeria, reinforces the heart of Bromley’s defence as they prepare for the new campaign. Primarily a central defender, he adds depth and competition in a key area of the pitch following his step down from second-tier football.
The move marks a change of environment for Taylor after his time with Bolton, where he has been part of a squad competing in the Championship. His current market value of around €325,000 underlines Bromley’s decision to bring in an experienced option from a higher division on a temporary basis rather than a permanent transfer.
