Royal Union Saint-Gilloise winger Relebohile Mofokeng is reportedly being monitored by LOSC Lille and Bayer Leverkusen, with offers of about €15 million (R276 million) potentially arriving when the January transfer window opens.
The 22-year-old joined the Belgian club from Orlando Pirates in July and has made an immediate impression. He has scored five goals and provided four assists in 15 appearances for Royal Union Saint-Gilloise.
Mofokeng, who is known as President yama 2K, has attracted reported interest from both France and Germany after his strong start to the season.
“Both Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur and Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri report that LOSC Lille and Bayer Leverkusen are monitoring Relebohile Mofokeng,” Soccerbeat said.
“Konur also reported that offers in the region of €15 million (R276 million) could arrive in January.”
Mofokeng is currently valued at around €6 million, meaning a deal worth €15 million would represent a significant increase on his present market value. That valuation could rise further if he continues to perform at his current level for the rest of the season.
The former Orlando Pirates player has only been at Royal Union Saint-Gilloise for six months, and it remains uncertain whether he will leave Belgium as soon as January. Several matches are still scheduled before the transfer window opens.
A move to LOSC Lille or Bayer Leverkusen would give Mofokeng another opportunity to advance his career after his switch to Europe in July.
The winger also represented Bafana Bafana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where South Africa reached the knockout round for the first time. Mofokeng appeared in three matches during the tournament.
With the AFCON qualifiers due to resume later this month, attention will also turn to the international commitments of the Royal Union Saint-Gilloise player as speculation continues over his club future.
