Real Madrid to appeal Vinicius Junior’s four-match La Liga ban at Spain’s sports tribunal

Real Madrid will take Vinicius Junior’s four-match suspension to Spain’s Administrative Sports Court (TAD) after the club’s appeal was rejected.

The decision follows Vinicius’ dismissal during Real Madrid’s match against Villarreal. The Brazil forward was sent off after a VAR review for pulling an opponent’s hair.

Vinicius was given a two-match ban for the offence itself, with a further two matches added for aggressive behaviour after receiving the red card.

Real Madrid do not intend to accept the suspension and, according to The Athletic journalist Guillermo Rai, will now challenge it before the TAD.

The club are due to host Sevilla on Sunday, 18 October.
