Real Madrid reject exit for defender Raul Asensio amid Premier League interest

Real Madrid are not considering a departure for central defender Raul Asensio, despite interest from Premier League clubs Chelsea and Liverpool, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.

Asensio has not played a single minute for Real Madrid this season, but the Spanish club have decided against parting company with the defender in the near future.

The 22-year-old is a product of Real Madrid’s academy and has made 80 appearances for the first team since making his debut. He has scored two goals and provided three assists during that time.

Asensio’s current contract with Real Madrid runs until the middle of 2031.
