Real Madrid have completed their agreement to renew Arda Guler’s contract, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, while Thibaut Courtois is also close to committing his future to the club beyond his current deal.
Romano said the renewal for Guler has been settled and that only the formal procedures and official announcement remain. The agreement is “100% done”, with Real Madrid preparing to complete the announcement and arrange the customary official photographs.
The Turkey international is one of several key players whose futures are being addressed by Real Madrid as the club works to secure important members of its squad for the coming seasons.
Courtois’ current contract runs until June 2027, but both the Belgium goalkeeper and Real Madrid want to continue working together. Romano said a verbal agreement between the two sides is now very close to completion.
The goalkeeper is expected to remain at Real Madrid for the 2027-28 season and the campaign that follows, with the club nearing the final formal steps required to confirm the extension.
The position of Endrick, however, is less certain despite the Brazilian forward having a contract with Real Madrid until June 2030.
Endrick has found it difficult to secure regular playing time under Jose Mourinho, and that lack of opportunities has led to interest from several clubs during the summer transfer window.
Romano reported that Endrick received a number of proposals to leave Real Madrid, including loan options involving Aston Villa, Roma and Milan. Liverpool have also shown interest in the forward.
Despite those approaches, Real Madrid rejected every option presented to them, whether it involved a temporary move or a permanent transfer.
The Brazilian’s future is expected to depend largely on the amount of football he plays between now and January. Romano said Endrick will continue working to reach his best physical condition and persuade Mourinho to give him a greater role in the team.
The contrasting situations surrounding Guler, Courtois and Endrick reflect Real Madrid’s differing decisions over established players, a promising young talent and a forward whose immediate development remains under review.
