Real Madrid wants UEFA to progress its investigation into Barcelona’s alleged payments to former referees’ official Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira as quickly as possible.
The club’s press office issued a statement after submitting documents to UEFA relating to the Negreira case.
Real Madrid said its complaint contained evidence of “events of exceptional seriousness” that directly affected the integrity of competitions and confidence in the refereeing system.
UEFA had earlier confirmed it had received documents from Real Madrid concerning payments made by Barcelona to Negreira, the former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees.
