France-Cameroon winger Rayane Messi of Strasbourg is being linked with a summer move to Swiss Super League side FC Luzern as the 19-year-old attracts interest after a series of first-team breakthroughs across Europe.
Messi, a right-footed left winger born in Sevres, has been under contract with Strasbourg’s senior side since July 2025 and is tied to the Ligue 1 club until 30 June 2030. His long-term deal means Strasbourg are under no immediate pressure to sell, with any negotiations likely to reflect his current valuation of around €2.8 million.
The teenager’s profile has risen sharply over the past year following loans designed to accelerate his development. After stepping up from Strasbourg’s B team to the first-team squad in 2025, he spent the first half of the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Pau FC, where he gained professional minutes in Ligue 2. A subsequent move to Saudi Pro League outfit NEOM SC in February 2026 gave him further top-flight exposure abroad before he returned to Strasbourg at the end of that spell in June.
Messi’s senior outings have included league and cup appearances, with goals in domestic competition and in the Coupe de France highlighting his impact in limited minutes. His experience across French divisions and in Saudi Arabia at a young age is understood to be part of what has drawn Luzern’s attention as they assess wide attacking options for the new season.
For now, Messi remains a Strasbourg player, with any potential transfer having to take into account his contract running through to 2030.
