Racing and Valencia share four-goal draw in Spain’s eighth round

Racing and Valencia drew 2-2 on 11 October after both sides scored twice in an entertaining eighth-round match in the Spanish championship.

Valencia made the stronger start, taking the lead after only two minutes when Dani Raba found the net. Racing gradually settled into the game and levelled in the 32nd minute through Yassir Zabiri.

The hosts continued to press after the interval and moved ahead just two minutes into the second half. Ivan Martin’s accurate finish put Racing 2-1 in front in the 47th minute.

Valencia responded by increasing the pressure in attack, and their efforts were rewarded in the 65th minute. David Otorbi scored the equaliser to complete the scoring and ensure the points were shared.
