Burkina Faso left-back Rachid Sande Barro has joined Slovak side STK Samorin on loan from top-flight club Dunajska Streda. The 19-year-old defender moves within Slovakia in a deal confirmed on 24 July, strengthening Samorin’s options on the left side of their back line.
Barro arrives from Dunajska Streda, who compete in the country’s Nike Liga, and will now step into regular II. Liga football with Samorin. The temporary move gives the teenager the chance to gain further senior experience while remaining in the same national set-up and adapting to a different level of competition.
Capable of operating across the left of defence, Barro adds youthful energy and depth to a Samorin squad preparing for the demands of a full second-tier campaign. His switch also underlines Dunajska Streda’s willingness to allow one of their young assets to play consistent minutes away from the club while retaining his registration.
The Burkina Faso youngster, whose market value is currently listed at around €50,000, leaves a club established in the top division for a side looking to climb the II. Liga table. The change of environment offers him the opportunity to test himself in a league where game time may be more readily available than at his parent club.
Barro will spend the upcoming period registered with STK Samorin, who have secured his services on a loan transfer from Dunajska Streda.
