Christian Pulisic says he wants to remain at AC Milan and hopes discussions over a new contract can take place soon after a positive start to Ruben Amorim’s tenure.
The United States forward’s current deal with the Italian club expires next summer. Reports indicate AC Milan have an option to extend the agreement by a further year, but Pulisic made clear he would prefer to continue at the Rossoneri.
“I am very happy at Milan. The club is giving me everything, it helps me a great deal,” Pulisic told Sky Sport Italia. “I am concentrating on playing, but we’ll talk about it [new contract], I hope soon.
“I feel really happy at Milan and want to continue here.”
Amorim’s side are unbeaten in Serie A after five matches, with three wins and two draws. They sit fifth in the table, two points behind leaders Roma.
Their only defeat so far came in the Europa League, when they lost 2-0 to Benfica. AC Milan responded before the international break by beating Lecce 3-0, with Pulisic among the scorers.
The goal ended a 266-day wait for the 28-year-old to score in Serie A. His previous league goal had come against Hellas Verona in December 2025.
Pulisic had taken 39 shots without scoring between the two goals, eventually finding the net with his 40th attempt.
He endured a difficult campaign under Massimiliano Allegri last season, scoring 10 goals and registering four assists in 34 appearances. Only 20 of those matches came as starts.
After missing the beginning of the 2026-27 season because of injury, however, Pulisic has quickly settled into Amorim’s approach.
“It has been a strange start to the season,” he said. “I was coming back from an injury and I really wanted to play, but it took time. I worked with the team and coach to get back on the field.
“We are learning his system, how he wants to play. I am very positive about him. Our most recent match was one of the best, so we want to build on that.”
Pulisic explained that Amorim has placed particular emphasis on the players’ positioning and movement when AC Milan have possession.
“He wants us to find certain positions, especially when we have the ball, and to make specific movements,” he added. “Obviously, we are also given some freedom in attack, but there are principles and positions to keep to.”
