Paris Saint-Germain will host Monaco in their first home match of the Ligue 1 season on Friday, 4 September, with the visitors arriving as the division’s only perfect side after a four-match winning run.
The third-round fixture will kick off at 19:05 GMT at Parc des Princes. It brings together the reigning champions, who remain unbeaten but have yet to win in Ligue 1 this season, and a Monaco team sitting alone at the top of the table after two victories without conceding a goal.

Monaco have developed a strong record in recent visits to the French capital. The visitors also defeated PSG on their own ground earlier this year, winning 3-1.
PSG have avoided defeat in their opening two league matches, although both games ended 2-2 after difficult finishes. They came from 2-0 down to draw at Rennes after scoring an equaliser in the 82nd minute, before rescuing another point against Lille with a goal in added time.
Their competitive season began with a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup. PSG then suffered a 1-0 defeat by Lens in the Trophee des Champions before beginning their Ligue 1 campaign.
Monaco, meanwhile, have made an impressive start under new manager Filipe Luis, who joined the club during the summer. They have won four matches in succession in all competitions.
In Europe, Monaco secured their place in the UEFA Conference League by beating Gornik Zabrze 3-2 in the first leg and 4-1 in the return fixture. Their league form has been even more convincing defensively. After a narrow 1-0 win at Le Havre, Monaco produced their biggest statement of the campaign so far by beating Marseille 2-0 on Sunday.
That result left them top of Ligue 1 on their own, while their clean sheet record in the competition remains intact.
PSG’s unbeaten run gives them a platform to build on, but two consecutive 2-2 draws have highlighted their vulnerability late in matches. Monaco’s confidence, defensive record and recent success at Parc des Princes make this a difficult opening home fixture for the champions.
