PFA honours reflect Arsenal’s title-winning season with five Team of the Year selections

The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has named five Arsenal players in its Premier League Team of the Year for the 2025-26 season, following the London club’s first top-flight title in 22 years.

Arsenal have the largest representation in the selected XI, with Manchester City providing four players. Manchester United and Brentford each have one representative.

The players chosen for the PFA’s Premier League Team of the Year are David Raya, Gabriel, William Saliba, Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, Nico O’Reilly, Rayan Cherki, Antoine Semenyo, Erling Haaland, Bruno Fernandes and Igor Thiago.

The selection recognises Arsenal’s successful campaign, in which they became champions of England and ended a 22-year wait for a Premier League title. Their five-player presence is the strongest contribution from any club in this season’s official PFA team.

Manchester City are the next best represented side, with four players included in the line-up. The remaining two places go to Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Brentford forward Igor Thiago.

Arsenal’s selections include goalkeeper David Raya, defenders Gabriel, William Saliba and Jurrien Timber, and midfielder Declan Rice. Their inclusion gives the champions representation across the defensive and midfield areas of the team.

Manchester City’s four players are Nico O’Reilly, Rayan Cherki, Antoine Semenyo and Erling Haaland. Bruno Fernandes is Manchester United’s sole representative, while Igor Thiago is the only Brentford player named.

The announcement was made by the PFA after the conclusion of the 2025-26 Premier League season. It completes the recognition of an Arsenal campaign that ended with the club securing their first Premier League championship since 22 years earlier.

The final team contains players from four clubs in total: Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Brentford. Arsenal’s five selections account for almost half of the XI, while Manchester City contribute four of the remaining six places.

The full team is: David Raya, Gabriel, William Saliba, Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, Nico O’Reilly, Rayan Cherki, Antoine Semenyo, Erling Haaland, Bruno Fernandes and Igor Thiago.
