Paris Saint-Germain have paid €3.3m to secure priority rights over Braga attacking midfielder Mario Dorgeles as they continue to plan for the future.
The agreement means PSG will be first in line to negotiate for the Ivory Coast international if he leaves the Portuguese club. It does not, however, signal that the 22-year-old is about to move to Paris.
The arrangement was reported by Portuguese sports newspaper A Bola and forms part of the strengthened relationship between Paris Saint-Germain and SC Braga. Qatar Sports Investments, the fund that owns PSG, holds almost 30% of Braga’s shares.
That connection helped facilitate the agreement for Dorgeles, who joined Braga from Nordsjaelland for €11m in the summer of 2025. The midfielder remains under contract with SC Braga until June 2029.
Dorgeles enjoyed a productive 2025/26 season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists. His involvement has reduced this season, though, with the player having made five starts in eight matches.
The priority option gives Paris Saint-Germain a degree of control over any future move while allowing Dorgeles to remain at Braga for now. The deal is therefore intended to protect PSG’s position regarding a promising young player rather than confirm an immediate transfer.
SC Braga are due to play Sporting CP in the eighth round of the Portuguese league.
