Papa Ba: Senegal winger joins UD Logrones on loan from Girona FC B

Senegal winger Papa Ba has joined UD Logrones from Girona FC B on loan, switching to the Primera Federacion side for the 2026-27 campaign.

The 22-year-old right winger’s move was completed on 30 August 2026, with the loan running until 30 June 2027. Ba will return to Girona FC B at the end of the agreement.

Ba arrives after a recent spell with Girona’s reserve side, where he made 25 appearances in the Segunda Federacion and scored four goals. He also featured six times in the promotion play-offs, while adding three Copa del Rey appearances and one LaLiga appearance to his record.

A left-footed attacker who operates from the right, Ba gives Logrones an option in a wide role as the club compete in Group I of the Primera Federacion. He joined Girona FC B from Senegalese club Keur Madior FC in January 2024 on a free transfer.

Born in Thies, Ba has spent the past two years playing in Spain after making the move from Senegal. His latest campaign included more than 2,000 minutes in the Segunda Federacion, with a further 536 minutes recorded in the promotion play-offs.

Ba’s move to Logrones represents his second club switch since arriving in Spanish football. His time with Girona FC B included involvement across league, play-off, cup and top-flight competition, before the temporary move to a new level of the Spanish league system.

The winger’s agreement with Logrones is valid for the 2026-27 season, and the scheduled end of the loan means he is due to return to Girona FC B next summer. The transfer was completed on loan, with no permanent fee stated.

Ba, who stands 1.80 metres tall, will now continue his career with UD Logrones after leaving Girona FC B for the duration of the agreed loan.
