Azzedine Ounahi, the Moroccan midfielder currently at Girona, is being linked with a move to Panathinaikos in Greece’s Super League.
The proposed transfer is rated at 66%, with Ounahi’s market value listed at €18m. The 26-year-old joined Girona from Marseille for €6m in August 2025 and remains under contract with the Spanish club until June 2030.
Ounahi has not featured in Girona’s opening three possible LaLiga2 matches of the 2026-27 season. He did, however, start six of Morocco’s six World Cup matches, scoring twice, and was part of the Morocco side that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025.
A move to Panathinaikos would represent a return to a club Ounahi represented on loan during the 2024-25 campaign. He made the temporary switch from Marseille in September 2024, before returning to France at the end of the season.
Ounahi joined Marseille from Angers in January 2023 for €8m, having previously played for Angers and US Avranches. Girona were relegated from the top division in the 2025-26 season, and the midfielder has since been listed as part of their squad for life in LaLiga2.
The rumour remains unconfirmed, with Ounahi contracted to Girona through to 2030.
