Orlando Pirates beat Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in the Soweto Derby as eight Betway Premiership matches produced 21 goals over the weekend.
The result at FNB Stadium extended coach Abdeslam Ouaddou’s winning run to seven consecutive league victories. Yanela Mbuthuma put the defending champions ahead before Pule Mmodi levelled for Kaizer Chiefs. Tshepang Moremi then struck the decisive goal to give Orlando Pirates victory over their Soweto rivals.
Mamelodi Sundowns responded to that result by strengthening their own title challenge with a 4-1 win against Durban City at Loftus Versfeld.

Betway Premiership newcomers Milford FC also continued their impressive start in the top flight. They claimed a 1-0 win over Sekhukhune United to add to their early-season progress.
