Orlando: Inter can become ‘unstoppable’ after fixing defensive issues

Massimo Orlando says Internazionale’s mental strength makes them the strongest team in the league, but believes they must improve their defensive stability before reaching their full potential.

Speaking to TMW Radio after Internazionale’s comeback victory over Fiorentina, Orlando praised the team’s ability to respond when matches become difficult. He said Inter consistently find solutions and refuse to lose belief, even when they are under pressure.

“Fiorentina showed very little besides Jimenez. Internazionale has incredible mental strength; they never give up and always believe in themselves,” Orlando said.

He also suggested that some key players have yet to return to their best level, identifying Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan as examples.

“Inter is the strongest team, but Calhanoglu is clearly not back to his best form, and Mkhitaryan also struggled,” he added.

Orlando believes Internazionale’s strength in depth gives them another way to alter matches, with substitutes capable of making a decisive impact.

“However, Internazionale has other ways to change the game through substitutions,” he said. “Once they find stability in defense, I believe this team will be unstoppable.”
