Fabrizio Romano says Omar Marmoush has agreed personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur and is expected to leave Manchester City for the London club during the current summer transfer window.
The transfer expert reported the development on his YouTube channel, where he said: “Omar Marmoush is the next player who will move from City to Tottenham after Savinho.”
Romano added that an agreement is already in place over the terms of Marmoush’s contract with Tottenham Hotspur. The Egypt international is also said to be enthusiastic about joining the club and becoming part of its new project.
He said: “Omar Marmoush already has an agreement on personal terms for his contract with Tottenham Hotspur, and he is excited about this move and the new project at Tottenham, with the possibility of becoming a very important player for Roberto De Zerbi.”
The report indicates that Marmoush’s potential move is being viewed as an opportunity for him to secure a more significant role under De Zerbi. Romano said the forward has had very limited playing space at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, and expects that situation to remain the same this season with Enzo Maresca in charge.
Romano said: “Marmoush found very limited space to play at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, and the expectation is that the situation will continue in the same way this season with Enzo Maresca.”
Tottenham are expected to complete the signing, although Romano stressed that the deal is unlikely to be concluded immediately. He believes the transfer is more likely to be finalised in the coming days, while there is optimism that an agreement can be reached.
He concluded: “Tottenham are expected to be able to complete the signing of Marmoush, probably not today, but in the coming days. There is optimism about completing the deal.”
The report therefore presents Marmoush’s move as a developing transfer rather than a completed deal. Personal terms have reportedly been agreed, and the player is said to be keen on the proposed switch, but Tottenham still need to finalise the transaction with Manchester City.
Marmoush’s future has consequently become one of the notable issues surrounding the summer transfer activity involving the two clubs. Romano’s comments suggest Tottenham are confident of securing the forward, while the expected timing points to further progress over the next few days rather than an immediate announcement.
The central question is now whether the remaining details of the transfer can be resolved quickly enough for Marmoush to become Tottenham’s next arrival from Manchester City after Savinho.
