Olivier Ntcham, the Cameroon international currently without a club after leaving Turkish side Samsunspor, is being linked with a move to Premier League newcomers Hull City.
The 30-year-old central midfielder became a free agent on 1 July 2026 following his departure from the Super Lig club, opening the door to a potential return to English football. Hull are understood to be exploring midfield reinforcements ahead of their top-flight campaign and view Ntcham’s availability on a free transfer as an opportunity to add experience without a transfer fee.
Ntcham, who was born in Longjumeau and has represented Cameroon at international level, has accumulated significant experience across Europe’s major competitions. In Turkey he made 83 league appearances for Samsunspor in the Super Lig, scoring 14 goals and adding three assists, having previously featured in the Championship with Swansea City and Serie A with Genoa.
His most successful spell came at Celtic, where he played in the Scottish Premiership and contributed to a period of domestic dominance, including a run that brought multiple league titles. He also featured for Marseille during a loan stint in Ligue 1 and has played in both the Europa League and Champions League qualifying rounds.
Ntcham’s market value was last listed at around €2m, but his status as a free agent gives Hull flexibility as they weigh up the financial structure of any deal. Discussions are at rumour stage, with the midfielder continuing to assess options following the end of his contract with Samsunspor.
