Olawale Tanimowo: Anglo-Nigerian forward signs for Asia Talas after OshMU exit

Asia Talas have added Anglo-Nigerian winger Olawale Tanimowo to their squad, with the 29-year-old joining from Jogorku Liga rivals OshMU on a free transfer. The left-sided attacker has signed a deal running until 31 December 2026.

Tanimowo, born in London and eligible for both England and Nigeria, moves after an impressive spell in Kyrgyzstan’s top flight, where he has featured predominantly on the left wing but operates on his favoured right foot. His arrival strengthens an Asia Talas attack already competing on domestic league and cup fronts.

The winger was one of OshMU’s key performers in the 2026 Jogorku Liga campaign, scoring five goals and providing six assists in 14 league appearances. He also added a goal and an assist in two Kyrgyzstan Cup outings, contributing directly to nearly half of his team’s goals in the league and two-thirds of their strikes in the cup during his time on the pitch.

Tanimowo joined OshMU in February 2026, again on a free transfer, after a spell in Estonia with JK Tammeka that began in 2024 following a period without a club. Earlier in his career he played for Bolton’s under-23 side before moving to Norwegian outfit Flor SK in 2020.

With a current market valuation of €175,000 and consistent attacking output at league and cup level this year, Tanimowo now commits the next six months of his career to Asia Talas following his completed free transfer from OshMU.
