Nuno Mendes cleared to face Barcelona after PSG injury concern

Paris Saint-Germain left-back Nuno Mendes is expected to be available for Tuesday’s Champions League meeting with Barcelona.

The Portugal international came on during the second half of Saturday’s 3-1 Ligue 1 victory over Strasbourg but felt discomfort during the match. His involvement against Barcelona had subsequently been placed in doubt, although the issue now appears not to be serious.

According to journalist Reshad Rahman, citing RMC Sport, Paris Saint-Germain are not concerned about Mendes’ condition. Initial examinations found no problems with the 24-year-old.

Luis Enrique’s side will host Barcelona on Tuesday, 20 October.
