Nigeria Under-23s begin Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifying camp

Nigeria’s Under-23 team have begun training at the Remo Stars sports complex as preparations gather pace for the upcoming Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The squad’s arrival at the Ikenne-based facility marks the start of its preparation programme for the qualifying campaign. The coaching staff will assess the players and work towards building a competitive side capable of securing Nigeria’s place in the continental tournament.

Training will give the technical team an opportunity to examine the players’ fitness levels, improve their tactical understanding and develop the coordination required ahead of the important qualifying matches.

With qualification for the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations at stake, Nigeria will aim to make full use of the camp while building the team cohesion needed to compete against their opponents.

The Remo Stars sports complex, in Ikenne in Ogun State, will serve as the team’s training base as the players prepare for the demands of their next assignment.
