Napoli are tracking Udinese defender Oumar Solet as they consider ways to strengthen their defence, according to La Gazzetta.it.
The 26-year-old has attracted attention with a series of strong performances, combining physical power with an assured sense of positioning. Napoli have collected seven points from their opening five matches and are assessing options to improve their squad.
No formal discussions have taken place yet, but Napoli’s directors are monitoring Solet’s situation and could make an approach if market conditions allow. Their interest comes as Udinese struggle to establish themselves early in the season, with the club 13th in the Italian league and having conceded 11 goals in five games.
Solet began his career at Creteil before moving to RB Salzburg, giving him considerable experience at a high level. His defensive qualities could suit Napoli’s search for greater strength and discipline at the back.
Arthur Boka has said: “Oumar Solet and Inter Milan would be a perfect marriage.”
Solet remains under contract with Udinese until June 2027. His market value is estimated at about 20 million euros by Transfermarkt, while the defender, who was born in Melun, has Ivorian origins.
Udinese’s next fixture is their sixth league match of the season against Torino.
