Malik has been monitored after breaking into Ikorodu City’s first team in the Nigeria Premier Football League, where he has made 15 league appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist. His current deal with the Lagos-based club runs until 30 June 2026, a situation that would require AIK to negotiate a fee rather than explore a free transfer.
Rated at around €75,000, Malik offers a relatively low-cost option for a European club seeking to recruit from the Nigerian top flight. He operates primarily as a left winger but is right-footed, and has accumulated 877 minutes of league football this season, averaging a goal roughly every 439 minutes.
Born in Oyo State on 17 August 2008, the winger only joined Ikorodu City’s senior side from the club’s U20 set-up on 31 December 2024, moving quickly from academy level to regular NPFL involvement. His height is listed at 1.83m, giving him a physical profile that has drawn attention alongside his early exposure to top-division football.
While AIK’s level of interest has not progressed to an advanced stage, the remaining two years on Malik’s contract and his recent elevation from youth to senior football are expected to form the basis of any negotiations between the Swedish club and Ikorodu City.
