Mourinho compares Real Madrid’s Yan Diomande to young Vinicius

Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho has identified an area where 19-year-old winger Yan Diomande must improve, while comparing the Ivory Coast international to a young Vinicius.

Diomande made a decisive contribution in Real Madrid’s 4-1 La Liga victory over Sevilla, scoring one goal and providing an assist.

“He reminds me of a young Vinicius,” Mourinho said.

Real Madrid will face Diomande’s former club, RB Leipzig, on Wednesday.

The rising star’s transfer to Real Madrid cost 125m euros, excluding bonuses.
