Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi will officially unveil his final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday evening as the Atlas Lions intensify preparations for the tournament in North America.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation confirmed that Ouahbi is scheduled to hold a press conference at the Mohammed VI Football Complex on May 26, where he will announce the players selected to represent Morocco at the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
According to the federation, the announcement ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. local time and will focus entirely on Morocco’s final squad list ahead of the global competition.
The squad reveal comes during a crucial preparation period for the North Africans, who are expected to play several warm-up matches before the tournament begins later this year.
Morocco will first face Burundi on May 26 in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the Mohammed VI Football Complex before taking on Madagascar on June 2 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The Atlas Lions will then travel to the United States for a final pre-World Cup test against Norway on June 7.
Several high-profile names are expected to feature in the final selection, including Achraf Hakimi, as Morocco aim to build on their growing reputation as one of Africa’s strongest football nations.
Morocco have been drawn in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside Brazil, Scotland and Haiti in what is expected to be one of the tournament’s most competitive groups.
With expectations continuing to rise around the national team, the upcoming friendlies are likely to play a decisive role in shaping Morocco’s final preparations before the World Cup begins.
