Moroccan right-back Tarik Asstati has joined Amal Tiznit on a free transfer from SCC Mohammedia.
The move was completed on 21 August 2026, with Asstati becoming part of the Amal Tiznit squad in the Botola Pro Inwi. The 35-year-old defender, who was born in Mohammedia, has spent his career in Moroccan football and moves to his latest club after one season with SCC Mohammedia.
Asstati played 205 matches in the Botola Pro Inwi before switching clubs, scoring seven goals and registering 14 assists. He also has experience in continental competition, having made eight appearances in the CAF Champions League and provided one assist.

The right-back had joined MAS Fes from Hassania in August 2024, also on a free transfer. That spell followed a period with Ittihad Tanger, whom he joined from Difaa El Jadida in 2019. Earlier in his career, he represented US Mohammedia, Mouloudia and SCC Mohammedia.
Standing 1.75m tall and favouring his right foot, Asstati has played primarily as a right-back throughout his career. His record also includes six appearances in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine and one appearance in the Excellence Cup.
The transfer extends a sequence of moves between Moroccan clubs for Asstati, whose previous five transfers were completed without a fee. His highest recorded market value was €575,000, while his most recent listed value before the move was €275,000 during his time at SCC Mohammedia.
Asstati’s arrival gives Amal Tiznit a defender with extensive Botola Pro Inwi experience and a record of more than 200 appearances in the competition. He joins the club as a Moroccan national and begins his latest chapter in the domestic game.
