Morocco have announced a 14-player squad for the first edition of the U15 World Cup, which will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 22 to 30 October.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has selected the Atlas Lion Cubs for the tournament under coach Karim Meftal.
The squad includes six players from the Mohammed VI Football Academy, making it the most represented institution in the selection. The academy is regarded as Morocco’s leading national centre for developing young football talent.
Club Jeunesse Ben Guerir is the second-best represented side, with five players included in the group.
The remaining three places have gone to Mohamed Fahd El Assas of FUS Rabat, Mohamed Amine Rezgaoui of AS FAR Rabat and Ziad Aboud of RS Berkane.
No player from Rajani of Wydad Casablanca was selected by Meftal.
Morocco are scheduled to play five matches in the opening phase of the competition, with their results determining what comes next in the tournament.
Their campaign is due to begin on Saturday, 24 October, against the Philippines. They will then face Costa Rica and Belize in two matches on Sunday before completing the first phase with games against Curacao and Liberia on Monday.
The schedule for the second stage will be confirmed at a later date, depending on the results from the opening phase.
That next stage is scheduled to take place between 28 and 30 October.
