Monaco will host Toulouse in the sixth round of Ligue 1 on Saturday, 10 October, with kick-off scheduled for 21:45 Moscow time.
The hosts have made an impressive start to the season and currently sit top of the French championship. Monaco have collected 13 points from their opening five matches, scoring eight goals and conceding only three.
Their four victories have come against Lens, PSG, Marseille and Le Havre. Monaco beat Lens 2-1, overcame PSG by the same scoreline, defeated Marseille 2-0 and edged past Le Havre 1-0. Their only dropped points came in a 1-1 draw with Strasbourg.
Monaco remain unbeaten in the current campaign and have won seven of their past eight matches. They are also regarded as clear favourites for this fixture by bookmakers’ experts.
Toulouse arrive in considerably less convincing form. They have taken five points from five games and are 13th in the Ligue 1 table. Their goal record is also negative, with seven goals scored and nine conceded.
Toulouse began the season with defeats by Lyon and Lille, losing 2-0 and 1-0 respectively. They then drew 2-2 with Brest and 2-2 with Lorient before recording their only victory so far, a 3-2 win against Le Havre.
The visitors have won just one of their last eight matches, while the most recent meeting between the two sides ended in a 2-2 draw.
On the available form, Monaco have the stronger case to take all three points. Their defensive record, unbeaten start and position at the top of the table contrast with Toulouse’s difficult opening run and 13th-place standing.
The predicted result is a 2-0 victory for Monaco.
