Moïse Sahi Dion leads attacking show in Ligue 2 rout

Moïse Sahi Dion delivered a standout performance with a brace as FC Annecy secured a commanding 5-1 away victory over AS Nancy Lorraine in Ligue 2 BKT.

The match, played on the 31st matchday of the French second division, saw Annecy produce one of their most dominant attacking displays of the season, with Sahi Dion at the heart of the result.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder opened the scoring in the 21st minute, setting the tone for a strong first-half performance from the visitors.

His early goal helped Annecy settle quickly and take control of proceedings away from home.

Nancy briefly attempted to respond, but Annecy’s attacking rhythm proved difficult to contain. The visitors doubled their advantage before Sahi Dion struck again in the 53rd minute, extending the lead and effectively putting the contest beyond the hosts.

His second goal underlined his sharpness in the final third and highlighted his growing influence since returning to the club during the winter transfer window.

It was a performance that combined movement, timing, and composure in front of goal.

Since rejoining FC Annecy, Sahi Dion has made an immediate impact. The Ivorian midfielder has now scored three goals in nine appearances, quickly becoming an important attacking option for the French side.

Annecy’s dominance was further reflected on the scoresheet, with Clément Billemaz also finding the net twice (27’, 59’) and Antoine Larose adding a late fifth goal in the 88th minute to complete the emphatic win.

Nancy managed a consolation goal, but they were outplayed for long periods by a confident Annecy side who controlled the tempo and created consistent attacking pressure.

The result strengthens Annecy’s position in the Ligue 2 standings.

They currently sit 8th with 46 points, keeping them within reach of the upper half of the table as the season progresses.

Sahi Dion’s form is another positive indicator of Ivorian talent making an impact in Europe’s competitive second tiers.

His ability to influence matches through goals and attacking movement is becoming increasingly important for Annecy’s ambitions.

For Nancy, the heavy defeat raises concerns about defensive stability, particularly against teams that can transition quickly and exploit space in behind.
