German-Moroccan centre-forward Mohammed Berrahou has joined Fortuna Dusseldorf II on a free transfer from MSV Duisburg U19. The 19-year-old moves into the Oberliga Niederrhein set-up as he takes the next step from youth football into the senior regional leagues.
Berrahou, who is comfortable on both feet, leaves Duisburg after a prolific spell in the German youth system. He most recently featured in the U19 Nachwuchsliga, having progressed from the club’s U17 side, and now links up with Dusseldorf’s second team ahead of the 2026–27 campaign.
The forward built an impressive record across youth competitions, scoring regularly at U17 and U19 level. Between the U17-Bundesliga West and various U19 Nachwuchsliga groups, he registered double figures in goals, including a standout run with 10 goals in 18 appearances in one U19 league campaign. He also gained experience in the DFB-Pokal der Junioren, underlining consistent involvement at national youth level.
Born in January 2007, Berrahou has represented clubs in western Germany throughout his development. Before joining Duisburg’s academy, he spent time with Schalke 04’s youth department, moving to Duisburg U17 on a free transfer in 2023 and stepping up to their U19s a year later.
Berrahou’s switch to Fortuna Dusseldorf II is a permanent free transfer, confirmed ahead of the new season in the Oberliga Niederrhein.
