French-Moroccan defensive midfielder Mohamed Tariqui has joined FCE MA from Trelissac FC on a free transfer, completing the move on 4 August 2026.
Tariqui, 24, moves within National 2 Group A after a season with Trelissac. He previously played for Stade Bordelais, whom he left to join Trelissac in July 2025, also on a free transfer.
The right-footed midfielder’s recorded National 2 career includes 47 appearances and seven goals across Group A and Group B. He made 22 appearances and scored three goals in Group A, while also featuring 25 times and finding the net four times in Group B.
Tariqui has played in several competitions during his career, including the Coupe de France and Coupe Gambardella. He scored once in two appearances in the youth cup, while making four senior cup appearances.
Born in Pessac, France, Tariqui began his senior career with Merignac before moving to Stade Bordelais in July 2022. His route to FCE MA has therefore included successive free transfers, first from Merignac to Stade Bordelais, then from Stade Bordelais to Trelissac and now to his new club.
Standing 1.84 metres tall, Tariqui operates in a defensive midfield role. His arrival gives FCE MA a player with experience in National 2, having competed in both Group A and Group B during his career.
The transfer marks Tariqui’s third club move since leaving Merignac, with each switch completed without a transfer fee. He now continues his career at FCE MA following his departure from Trelissac FC.
Tariqui’s move to FCE MA was completed on 4 August 2026 as a free transfer.
