Mohamed Tariqui: France-Morocco midfielder joins FCE MA on free transfer

France-Morocco midfielder Mohamed Tariqui has joined FCE MA from Trelissac FC on a free transfer, strengthening the National 2 club’s midfield options.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder completed the move on 4 August 2026 after one season with Trelissac, who he joined from Stade Bordelais in July 2025, also on a free transfer. Tariqui’s switch keeps him in National 2 – Group A, with FCE MA and Trelissac competing in the same division.

Tariqui made 25 appearances and scored four goals in National 2 – Group B, while he played 22 matches and scored three times in National 2 – Group A. His record also includes 11 appearances in National 2 – Group D and four in the Coupe de France.

The midfielder began his senior career with Merignac before moving to Stade Bordelais in July 2022. His previous clubs also include Merignac U19, where he played during the 2021-22 season. Tariqui subsequently spent three seasons with Stade Bordelais before making the move to Trelissac.

Born in Pessac, France, Tariqui holds French and Moroccan nationality. He stands 1.84m tall and is right-footed, with defensive midfield listed as his main position.

His experience includes 64 appearances across the recorded National 2 competitions, with seven goals. He has also featured in the Coupe Gambardella, scoring once in two appearances, alongside his four Coupe de France matches.

The move gives FCE MA a midfielder with experience across several levels of the French football pyramid and a recent record of regular National 2 involvement. Tariqui has now left Trelissac and completed his free transfer to FCE MA.
