Trabzonspor manager Fatih Tekke has named his starting XI for the Turkish Super Lig meeting with hosts Kasımpasa, with new Egyptian arrival Mohamed Salah left among the substitutes.
The match marks Trabzonspor’s opening fixture of the Turkish Super Lig campaign and will be officiated by referee Gurcan Hasova. Salah’s omission from the starting line-up is the main talking point before kick-off, with the forward set to begin the contest on the bench rather than make his first appearance from the start.
According to Gazete Pencere, Trabzonspor will line up with Onana in goal, while Savic, Nwaowu and Pina form part of the defensive unit. Mustafa, Bouchouari and Aral are also included, with Ruslan Malinovskyi, Mitahaan and Saviolo named further forward alongside Paul Onuachu.
Trabzonspor’s starting XI is:
Onana; Savic, Nwaowu, Pina; Mustafa, Bouchouari, Aral, Ruslan Malinovskyi, Mitahaan, Saviolo; Paul Onuachu.
Kasımpasa have also confirmed their line-up for the fixture. The home side will begin with Andreas, Aros, Eli, Yessen, Winck, Baldesson, Mendes, Diabate, Murtada, Guven and Bendizic.
Kasımpasa’s starting XI is:

The decision to name Salah as a substitute means Trabzonspor will start their league campaign without the Egyptian in the first XI. His presence on the bench nevertheless gives Tekke the option of introducing him during the match against Kasımpasa.
Trabzonspor’s selection includes a mixture of defensive options, midfielders and attacking players, with Onuachu chosen as the central attacking option. Malinovskyi is also included in the starting team, while Salah is among the alternatives available to the manager.
The fixture comes as the Turkish Super Lig begins to take shape, with the first result of the title holders already recorded. Galatasaray, the defending champions, opened their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Corum.
That result gives Trabzonspor the opportunity to begin the season with a victory, although they must first overcome Kasımpasa on their home ground. The match will be played under the direction of Hasova, with both clubs having now announced their starting line-ups.
The source article also included a promotion inviting supporters to buy tickets for Trabzonspor’s Turkish Super Lig matches.
