Mohamed Rayane Anane: Tunisia winger at ES Sahel linked with move to Red Star FC

Mohamed Rayane Anane, the Tunisian left winger currently at ES Sahel, is being linked with a move to French side Red Star FC as the Ligue 2 club explore attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season.

The 19-year-old, who plays predominantly on the left but is right-footed, is under contract with ES Sahel until 30 June 2029, meaning any deal would require negotiations with the Tunisian club rather than a free transfer. Anane is currently valued at around €450,000, a figure that is likely to shape initial discussions over a potential fee if Red Star decide to formalise their interest.

Anane has broken into the ES Sahel first team after stepping up from the club’s U21s on 1 January 2025, and has since established himself in the senior setup. In domestic Ligue 1 action he has made 36 appearances, scoring five goals and providing two assists, underlining his growing role in the attack for the Sousse-based side.

The winger has also featured in continental competition, appearing in the CAF Confederation Cup for ES Sahel, which has provided early exposure to a higher level of competition outside Tunisia. That experience, combined with regular league minutes, has contributed to his rapid rise in market value since joining the senior squad.

ES Sahel’s strong contractual position gives them leverage in any talks, and there has been no indication so far that an agreement with Red Star is close. For now, Anane remains committed to ES Sahel, where he is tied down on a long-term deal running through to 2029.
