Mofokeng attracts European interest as African transfer updates emerge

Relebohile Mofokeng is being monitored by a number of European clubs, with Lille and Bayer Leverkusen among those showing interest in the 21-year-old Union Saint-Gilloise winger.

According to Ekrem Konur, offers of about 15m euros could be made for the South African during the January transfer window. Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Chelsea and Brighton are also closely following his progress.

Mofokeng is under contract with Union Saint-Gilloise until 30 June 2030, with the club holding an option to extend the agreement by a further year. His current market value is estimated at 6m euros.

Elsewhere, Nigerian striker Excell Agada is expected to join AS Trencin in January from Golden Boots Soccer Academy.

Footy-Africa reports that an agreement has been reached to facilitate the move during the winter transfer window. Agada had attracted interest from several clubs in Sweden, Norway and Saudi Arabia but is understood to have chosen the Slovakian side as he seeks to continue his development and begin his professional career in European football.

Gambian winger Alasana Yirajang has signed with Premium Sports Management, which announced the move on its Instagram account.

The left-sided attacker, who previously played for Real de Banjul, joined Slovan Bratislava in the summer of 2025 and is contracted to the club until 30 June 2030. The player is currently valued at 1.5m euros.

Cameroon forward Angel Yondjo Matah has also appointed Premium Sports Management to represent him, with the agency confirming the news on its Instagram account.

The 19-year-old remains under contract with LOSC until 30 June 2030 and has an estimated market value of 200,000 euros.

According to exclusive information from Africafoot, Yondjo’s representatives are pushing for a move during the winter window so he can secure enough playing time to aid his development. A loan without an option to buy could be considered.
