AC Milan will hold a key transfer meeting tomorrow involving head coach Ruben Amorim and Gerry Cardinale, with Almstadt, Furlani and Moncada also expected to attend.
The discussions will focus on the club’s latest transfer activity, including both potential arrivals and departures. Milan’s immediate priority is to reduce the size of the squad by moving on players considered surplus to requirements.
Negotiations are currently under way involving Estupinan, Fofana, Gimenez, Musah and Bondo. The club wants to resolve as many of those situations as possible before turning its attention to the final additions needed to complete Amorim’s squad.
The meeting will allow Milan’s senior figures to assess the progress of those negotiations and determine what further work is required during the remainder of the transfer window. Once the departures have been addressed, the club will consider the final few moves intended to make the last adjustments to the team.
Rafael Leao’s position is also expected to remain part of the discussion. The Portugal forward is still on Milan’s departure list, despite the difficulties involved in finding a suitable buyer.
Milan are understood to be continuing to consider the possibility of a sale, although securing a club willing to meet the necessary conditions is proving challenging. As a result, Leao’s future remains uncertain while the club works through its wider squad plans.
The meeting will bring together Amorim, Cardinale, Almstadt, Furlani and Moncada as Milan review the current state of their transfer business. The priority is not simply to recruit, but first to create room within the squad by completing outgoing deals.
Only after most of those issues have been settled will Milan move on to the final stage of their recruitment planning. That process is expected to determine whether further changes are made to Amorim’s group and whether Leao remains at the club or leaves before the window closes.
