Milan preparing new Adrien Rabiot contract through to 2030

Milan are preparing to extend Adrien Rabiot’s contract until 30 June 2030, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The France midfielder’s current agreement runs until 2028, but the proposed extension would also bring a significant pay rise. Rabiot’s salary is expected to increase from €3.5m net per season to €5m, excluding bonuses linked to sporting performance.

Milan owner Gerry Cardinale is seeking to secure the future of another key player after the club extended the contracts of Strahinja Pavlovic and Christian Pulisic.

The next important stage will be talks with Veronique, Rabiot’s mother and agent. Negotiations with her have previously proved difficult, but Milan believe they have a strong chance of reaching a final agreement soon.

The two sides are expected to meet in the coming days to discuss the remaining details and complete the deal.
